Top Ten Tuesday : Ten Books for my Fall TBR

toptentuesday

I’m doing another Top Ten Tuesday! Yay! Top Ten Tuesday is an awesome meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish.

This week I’ll be listing 10 books that I want to read in the fall. Although it’ll be more like winter because there’s no fall season in Mumbai.

So here are the Ten Books I Plan To Read In The Fall-

10) The Book Thief by Markus Zusak : I just need to borrow it from somewhere or someone.

9) Agnes Grey by Anne Bronte : Since I’ve read books written by the other two Bronte sisters, it is only fair that I read a book written by Anne Bronte. On the plus side, I recently bought a copy.

8) Scorch Trials and The Death Cure by James Dashner : I read the Maze Runner sometime this year and then immediately read the Wikipedia summary of the next two books (Yes, I am an idiot.) Bad stuff happens and it is only now that I have decided to bookworm up and read them. I might even buy them. Sale at Amazon! โค

7) Persuasion by Jane Austen : I have hardly read any classics this year and Persuasion has been on my TBR for way too long.

6) An Abundance of Katherines, and Will Grayson, Will Grayson, and Let it Snow : Basically any John Green book I haven’t read yet. Oh and I ordered Let it Snow today. So now I have the complete John Green collection.

5) Infernal Devices trilogy by Cassandra Clare : I’ve been advised to read Infernal Devices around the same time as The Mortal Instruments and I intend to do the very same. Plus, I am making up for not having read Cassandra Clare until a few months ago.

Shopaholic to the Stars (UK)

4) Shopaholic to the Stars by Sophie Kinsella : Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood) is back! I’m super excited for the latest Shopaholic book! Can’t wait to laugh at Becky’s antics.

3) The Mortal Instrument series by Cassandra Clare : I read the City of Bones a couple of months ago and I finished reading City of Ashes just today. The sibling thing irritated me a little but I can’t wait to read City of Glass anyway. Just waiting till Friday when my friend issues it from the library.

UK BoO

2) Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan : Holy Hera! Fifteen days till BoO comes out. I feel like wailing like a Banshee every time I realize that this book will be the very last time we read about Percy and Co. I have obsessed over Percy Jackson for so long now. I can’t believe the series is coming to an end. October 8 is going to be a busy day. I am going to read BoO as soon as I get my hands on it. And then sit and cry in a corner. Honestly, fangirling is tough.

a-song-of-ice-and-fire-books

1) A song of Ice and Fire series by George R. R. Martin : I have finally done it! I owned the second book ie A Clash of Kings and had previously read A Game of Thrones. I’ll be the proud owner of the other books as soon as Amazon delivers them to my place. Then, I will start reading them. *Happy Dance*Happy Dance*

I want to but it’s kinda expensive. So I’m a little conflicted. My best friend has two copies. She’s going to let me borrow the day we meet up ๐Ÿ™‚
I’ve heard amazing things about the book. I’m sure I’ll love it too ๐Ÿ™‚

Fantastic list! And I totally emphasize with you regarding Blood of Olympus. The last time I both look forward to and dreaded a book coming out was when Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was released.

My thoughts, opinions and misadventures. Heavy on the misadventures, slightly thoughtless and very opinionated.
